Red Hat’s Tim Yeaton presenting at Mobile World Congress this afternoon!

Mobile World Congress 2017 is in full swing this week in Barcelona and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) is big this year. Be sure to catch Red Hat’s senior VP of infrastructure business, Tim Yeaton, at this afternoon’s NFV panel from 3:30 – 4:40 p.m. in Hall 4, Auditorium 3. The panelists will discuss the direction of NFV development and whether it’s developing in the right ways to best deliver on the needs of the telco industry. The panel will be moderated by Grant Lenahan, partner and principal analyst at Appledore Research Group and will also include panelists from ETSI, Napatech, InterDigital Europe, Cisco and Spirent Communications.

Red Hat made several announcements at this week’s Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona that underscore its strong commitment—and the global telco industry’s growing support—to open source, cloud and network functions virtualization (NFV). The announcements include MyRepublic’s use of Red Hat open source solutions to turn its legacy, proprietary IT environment into an open hybrid cloud and Altice’s use of NFV to build out a virtualized platform. Red Hat also announced new and extended partnerships with World Wide Technology (WWT) and Ericsson.
