Enterprise mobility has taken off, and as a result many financial service providers are struggling to keep pace with the demand for mobile solutions as well as the necessary supporting technologies and the developer skills to deliver it. Gartner predicts that by 2017, demand for mobile app services will grow at least five times faster than internal IT organizations’ capacity to deliver them. To meet growing demand, developer tools, mobile app development platforms, microservice architectures, agile methods, open source software, cloud models and solution ecosystems are quickly evolving.
I’m thrilled to be speaking about this important topic at the Wall Street Technology Association’s Mobile-First Design and Seamless Delivery seminar on February 25 in New York. My presentation will cover new trends in the mobile space, an overview of the four main takeaways of future mobile excellence and several case studies from forward-thinking financial organizations which are already implementing solutions which can reduce cost and development time while still meeting strict security requirements.
We’ve written an e-book on the topic as well and we’ll follow up with more details in an upcoming blog. In the meantime, let me know what you all think financial services companies should do to succeed in today’s mobile world!
