Financial Services Leaders — Shipping up to Boston for Red Hat Summit 2017

Red Hat Summit is less than two weeks away but, don’t worry, there’s still time to register! Don’t miss the opportunity to join more than 600 financial services industry leaders from around the world in Boston on May 2-4 for engaging sessions on open source innovation in financial services, expert keynotes, and tons of networking opportunities!

I am especially looking forward to the Financial Services Breakout on Tuesday, May 2 from 3:30-5:30pm, in Room 209 of Boston’s beautiful Convention & Exhibition Center.  Red Hat continues to see strong demand for our leading-edge technologies including the use of containers and OpenShift within financial services. Our hope is that the Financial Services Breakout will give you a great opportunity to share best practices around how open source is powering innovation at your organization while building collaborative relationships you can take back from Summit.

Following the Financial Services Breakout, we are happy to add to the agenda a networking reception specifically for financial services attendees. Before you head up to the Partner Pavilion, and join the full Red Hat Summit festivities, stay for some birds-of-a-feather networking, and light hors d’oeuvres.

Red Hat Summit offers something for everyone so, be sure to bring your entire team. There will be hands-on labs, training, instructor-led labs, and certification exams. There are business and technical sessions, at all levels, focused on all the important technology issues that financial institutions are facing today — big data, containers, security, hybrid cloud, devops, mobile, business automation, and more.

Spring is the perfect time to visit Boston — after recent record-breaking April temperatures, the flowers are in bloom and the city couldn’t be more beautiful. And, there’s no better way to celebrate Boston than an evening at Fenway Park to cheer on our home-town heroes, the Boston Red Sox!  Summit attendees are invited to join us on Wednesday evening May 3 as the Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles. Red Hat will provide transportation from the BCEC to Fenway so, you can sit back, relax and enjoy the game!

And if all that isn’t enough, we will also be premiering a short film from Open Source Stories — Road to A.I. This film is about the future of self-driving cars, the influence of open source on AI, and the people behind it all. You won’t want to miss it, but for now, enjoy the trailer here.
